This release features soundboard recordings of Ozzy Osbourne's 1984 Japan tour dates: June 29 at Koseinenkin Hall (Tokyo) and July 6 at Nakano Sunplaza (Tokyo). Backed by the talented young guitarist Jake, the band performs with high energy; veterans like Don and Bob—who had previously played in Japan with Rainbow—display a sense of seasoned confidence, while Ozzy is in top form, making for a truly superb Japanese tour experience. Following Don's urgent return home after his mother's passing on June 29, the remaining Japanese shows proceeded without keyboards; however, this spurred the band to play with even greater intensity, with Jake’s guitar work shining particularly brightly. The July 6th performance may feature more in the way of improvisational playing. As a bonus, the release includes six standout tracks from the "Monsters of Rock" festival at Donington, UK, on August 18—part of the European tour that followed the Japan dates. Thanks to the soundboard (SBD) source, the audio quality is consistently excellent.
