A CD-R release featuring a soundboard recording taken from the video source. This final Tokyo show was widely considered the best performance of the Japan tour; it has previously appeared under the title *Thieves of the Night*. This release, presented as a soundboard recording, appears to be sourced from a live video that the promoter provided to the audience as a gesture of thanks for the October 2nd concert in Fukuoka.
The standout feature of this recording is its remarkably immersive, lifelike quality. The sound possesses great depth and breadth, capturing every individual detail with precision.
While occasional low-frequency noise can be heard between tracks, it is never intrusive. The entire performance is captured in its entirety with impeccable sound quality. I highly recommend listening to this through stereo speakers—rather than headphones—with the volume turned up as high as you can manage.
It brings back the excitement of the Japan tour and is undoubtedly a "must-have" for any fan.
On this final night in Tokyo, the band incorporates various creative arrangements, delivering a truly superb performance.
Liam is in excellent form; his powerful, impassioned vocals during the climaxes of "Columbia" and "Live Forever" make for a compelling listen.
"Wonderwall" stands out even more, thanks to the exceptional quality of this recording; the sound of the audience cheering and whistling, set against the gentle guitar tones, creates an almost ethereal atmosphere.
Another highlight of this release is the inclusion of bonus tracks.
Noel’s acoustic renditions of "Whatever" and "Wonderwall" are taken from an FM radio broadcast on October 3rd.
