This is a live recording from Johnny Winter's later years. A genius guitarist once hailed as the "million-dollar guitarist," this album features a plethora of blues numbers, including Freddie King's instrumental masterpieces "Hideaway" and "Toe Down," Jimi Hendrix's "Red House," and Johnny's signature rock and roll hit, "Johnny B. Goode." The encore showcases his signature slide guitar playing, from "Dust My Broom" to Dylan's "Highway 61." This is considerably more bluesy than his younger, somewhat hard-rock-influenced style.
