The "Necromancer" series—which reissues rare titles from niche, handmade, collector-focused labels using official master recordings—now welcomes "Headless Hawk," one of the premier collector labels in the jazz world. These rare titles are being brought back at an accessible price point, featuring new reissue branding and redesigned back covers.

This is a live recording of John McLaughlin’s electric unit, The 4th Dimension. McLaughlin’s guitar work—twisting and turning over a backdrop of spacey synths—is truly remarkable, while the virtuoso Cameroonian bassist Etienne Mbappé delivers a lead-bass performance that is every bit as impressive. The recording is an audience source, offering high sound quality and excellent stability.
