This collector's CD captures the second day of Jeff Beck's second tour of Japan—specifically the August 5th performance at the Aichi Prefectural Gymnasium in Nagoya—held as part of the World Rock Festival produced by Yuya Uchida, a titan of the Japanese rock scene. The festival featured an incredible lineup of artists that would be unthinkable today; participants included Japanese acts like Creation and Yonin-bayashi, as well as Felix Pappalardi (famous as the producer for Cream) and Joe Yamanaka (who was active in the US at the time), making for a live event that spanned more than half a day. While the tour's opening show in Sapporo on August 3rd had to proceed without a soundcheck due to a delayed flight arrival, the Nagoya show was a different story; having learned from the previous delay, the band held a proper rehearsal, resulting in a spirited and polished performance featuring a more extensive setlist. From the opening track "Constipated Duck," Beck showcases his interplay with the bass and displays a relaxed, confident playing style throughout the set. A major highlight of this release is the inclusion of "Freezer" and "Got The Feeling"—tracks that were not performed at the Sapporo or Tokyo shows during this 1975 tour. Although this is an audience recording, the sound quality is excellent; thanks to a great recording position, the instruments are well-balanced, resulting in a stable and highly listenable audio experience.
