This release captures the opening night of Jeff Beck's 2010 European tour, held on November 1st at the Liederhalle in Stuttgart, Germany. Jeff Beck had a hectic schedule in 2010, including a joint tour with Eric Clapton in January, shows in Japan in April, and tours across Europe and the globe in the latter half of the year. Yet, his live performances always offer fresh discoveries; even when playing the same songs, the arrangements vary from day to day—making him an irresistible artist for fans. As this was the first night of the German leg, the band members—and Jeff in particular—were incredibly high-energy, delivering a performance that feels like they were firing on all cylinders right from the start. Regarding sound quality, it is an audience recording with an excellent balance. While the recording position might be slightly distant, each instrument is captured distinctly with a decent level of clarity, offering a high-quality listening experience that conveys a great sense of atmosphere and presence.
