This release pairs live performances by the big band led by Jaco Pastorius. It features concerts held in Florida during September and October of 1982. Both recordings are of excellent quality; the Miami show on Disc 1 was recorded on stage, while the Sanibel show on Disc 2—though labeled as an audience recording due to the proximity of crowd noise—features a stereo image that strongly suggests a soundboard source. This is a collection of rare live recordings featuring a short-lived group that, despite also utilizing a big-band lineup, offered a sound distinct from that of the *Word of Mouth* era.
