The second release! This is a complete recording of the September 27th Osaka show from the 2003 Japan tour—marking the return of the revitalized Whitesnake after a six-year absence—presented in the superb, high-fidelity sound quality and immersive atmosphere that only the Sylph label can deliver!
You can truly feel the sense of unity unique to a standing-room-only gig! On this night, not only were David Coverdale’s vocals vibrant and magnificent, but Doug’s guitar playing was absolutely on fire! Fueled by the high-energy enthusiasm of the Osaka crowd, the band delivered a fantastic performance, clearly enjoying themselves on stage! While this tour commemorates the band's 25th anniversary, the setlist recreates the era of their massive 1987 hit album *Serpens Albus* (which sold over 10 million copies worldwide); the sound, evocative of the 1987–1990 period, is a real treat for fans! Beyond David Coverdale’s vibrant, superb vocals, Doug’s guitar work—shredding with an intensity reminiscent of John Sykes—is nothing short of spectacular. It is also a delight to see Tommy Aldridge’s drum solo back in action. By the time the tour reached its final leg in Japan, the band felt heavier and more powerful than ever! I won't get into the nitty-gritty details—this is simply a must-have memento for anyone who attended the show! And for those who didn't? The performance by this reborn Whitesnake—marking a true comeback—is something you absolutely have to hear!
