This release features the performance from the final date of Van Halen's 2015 North American tour, held on October 4th at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, California, USA. It captures the final concert of founding member and guitarist Eddie Van Halen, who passed away on October 6th. In 2007, a tour featuring the current lineup was announced. The band continued to perform—albeit sporadically—until their final show in 2015. Due to Eddie’s health, no further live performances have taken place since that year, making the 2015 tour the band’s last major period of activity. The performance captured here showcases a band in excellent form, with a high level of cohesion and Eddie in top condition; it represents one of their most polished and accomplished live sets. The guitar work is particularly striking, and the setlist is perfectly curated for long-time fans, offering a truly superb live experience. The audio is an audience recording sourced from an exceptional master; the recording position was clearly ideal, resulting in a sound that is remarkably clear, direct, and immersive. Furthermore, the high-quality audio remains consistent throughout, entirely free from any intrusive audience noise.
