The BEATFILE label presents a complete reissue of two rare German vinyl pressings of The Beatles’ mid-career masterpiece, *Rubber Soul* (1965)! The first part features the 7th German pressing—released in 1981—which utilizes a unique German DMM (Direct Metal Mastering) cut. Highly regarded by collectors for its superior sound quality, this edition also features a distinct German-exclusive mix; unlike the original UK stereo version—where instruments are panned hard left and right—this German mix brings the stereo image closer to the center. The second part contains the 4th German stereo pressing from 1977. This version also features a unique German cut; while it retains the original 1960s stereo mix, the sound is even clearer and more dynamic than that of the UK pressing. For this CD release, the audio has undergone fresh noise correction and the latest 2026 mastering, ensuring the highest possible sound quality. Listening with headphones makes the differences in the mixes and the sonic textures clearly apparent. This is a noteworthy release that revives audio sources unique to the era of analog vinyl!
