Melodic speed metal giants Sonata Arctica returned to Japan for the first time in about two and a half years, touring in support of their new album, *Unia*!
This release features a complete recording of the July 20th Osaka show from that 2007 Japan tour, captured with impeccable, high-fidelity sound quality that delivers incredible power and an immersive live atmosphere!
Due to military service obligations, guitarist Jani Liimatainen could not participate in this tour; instead, support guitarist Elias stepped in. Elias is a virtuoso guitarist—arguably even surpassing Jani—and his skills are truly astonishing!
The setlist focuses on tracks from the new album while also incorporating the band's signature hits. Tony’s vocals are in top form, and the crowd goes wild for the band's uniquely entertaining performance!
While the setlist remains largely the same, the Osaka encore features a special moment where Tony responds to fan requests by singing the Finnish national anthem a cappella.
