This is a collector’s CD of the Japanese concert held on November 22, 1977, at the Akita Prefectural Hall as part of the Moonflower Japan Tour ’77, which accompanied the release of the studio and live album *Moonflower* in 1977. While *Moonflower* features live recordings from the European tour held in the fall of 1796, this release includes the complete concert and is recorded in high-quality SBD. When it comes to Santana in 1977, partly due to the influence of their massive hit “Europe,” they performed live all over the world and were at the peak of their career during that period. Weaving together old and new hits with a meticulously calculated, high-energy performance, Carlos Santana’s guitar playing on this live recording is nothing short of divine.
