PRETTY MAIDS Osaka 2012 Recording Arrives!!
Danish melodic hard rock band Pretty Maids returned to Japan for the first time in 11 years!
This release features a complete recording of their October 31, 2012, Osaka show, captured with superb sound quality that delivers immense power and a vivid sense of being there.
It captures everything—from the performance and sound balance to the fans' thunderous cheers—with ultra-realistic clarity, effectively sealing the entire electric atmosphere of the venue into this recording.
Plus, it has undergone the meticulous mastering characteristic of the Sylph label, making it a truly excellent release that leaves nothing to be desired. As a veteran band celebrating its 30th anniversary, they deliver a performance that is nothing short of spectacular—a parade of masterpieces executed with the poise and authority that only seasoned pros possess.
Ronnie, already renowned for his vocal prowess, sounds more powerful than ever, and his ability to energize the crowd with his stage presence is simply superb.
The classic track "Savage Heart" begins with just piano accompaniment before the full band kicks in for a grand, emotionally stirring arrangement.
During the finale, "Red, Hot and Heavy," the band even throws in riffs from "Crazy Train" and "Smoke on the Water"—a fun, spontaneous touch!
There is also a hilarious moment during "Back to Back" when Hammer flubs the cool opening riff that follows the sound effects. Packed with highlights from start to finish, the show is a thrill. The band members seem genuinely amazed by the crowd's frenzied enthusiasm, and the palpable sense of unity and high spirits makes for an unforgettable, electrifying performance.
It is a blissful hour and forty minutes that brings all that excitement vividly back to life!
