On October 13, 2016—nestled between his two-weekend run at the "Desert Trip" festival, a celebrated gathering of rock legends—Paul McCartney held a surprise show at the club "Pappy & Harriet’s" in Pioneertown, California. The event was announced on his official website that very same day. Now, this performance arrives for the first time as a collector’s edition (audio and video) from the DAP label. Unlike the large-scale outdoor festival, this gig took place in an intimate venue with a capacity of only about 300 people, creating a warm, relaxed atmosphere. A high-spirited Paul even remarked, "We’re going to do it Liverpool-style tonight!" Departing from the standard setlist, this performance kicks off with "Save Us," followed by "A Hard Day's Night." The set also features "Letting Go" later on, and the high-energy, intimate singalong of "Hey Jude"—a highlight unique to a small-venue club gig—makes for a truly moving experience! This 2-CD set is sourced from a high-quality audience recording captured at close range, and it is complemented by a comprehensive collection of mobile-shot footage from the venue, including various angles. It is the first release to fully recreate this specific gig through both audio and video—an essential, must-have collector’s item! As a bonus, the set also includes audio and video of a surprise appearance on New Year’s Eve 2016, where Paul joined The Killers on stage to belt out "Helter Skelter." With Paul set to return to Japan in 2017, this is a release you absolutely cannot miss!
