Nine Inch Nails, led by Trent Reznor, arrived in Japan for an appearance at Summer Sonic—a significant moment, as it coincided with the announcement of the band’s hiatus following their 20th anniversary. This release features their performance at Maishima, Osaka, on August 9, 2009—which, to date, remains their final show in Japan. The recording boasts astonishing, ultra-high sound quality that surpasses even a standard soundboard, delivering incredible power and an immersive, "you-are-there" atmosphere! The lineup includes the return of guitarist Robin Finck (known for his work with Guns N’ Roses) and drummer Ilan Rubin (of Lostprophets), resulting in a truly electrifying band sound and performance. Although they were not the headliners—limiting their set to 60 minutes—the band delivered a raw, high-octane, and absolutely transcendent performance! Perhaps because it was their final Japanese show, the intensity is palpable throughout this stellar set!
