This release captures the live performance by Gillan (formerly the Ian Gillan Band) held on October 18, 1978, at the Nagoya-shi Kokaido (Nagoya City Public Hall) in Japan. Although Ian had launched this new phase of his career—transitioning from the Ian Gillan Band to simply "Gillan"—and performed many songs featuring a sound vastly different from his previous work, as the show progresses, fans can fully enjoy the classic Ian: shouting passionately while thrashing his hair about. Six bonus tracks from a 1979 Vienna performance, featuring the lineup with Bernie Tormé, are also included. The audio is an audience recording; while it reflects the era's characteristics, the sound quality is consistently high and enjoyable.
