This release features a soundboard (SBD) recording of the concert held on April 9, 1998, at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois, during the US tour supporting the *Pilgrim* album. As there was no Japanese tour in 1998 following the 1997 Japan dates, this recording offers a great opportunity to enjoy Eric's performances from the late 1990s. Seeming pleased with the quality of the new album, he performs six consecutive tracks from *Pilgrim* right from the start of the show. The second half features a mix of classic and contemporary hits. It is a deeply engaging concert that highlights Eric's appeal as a vocalist; while he is renowned as a guitarist, he is equally gifted as a singer, allowing listeners to enjoy not only his superb guitar work but also a performance that truly resonates emotionally. Thanks to the soundboard source, the audio quality is excellent. The opening track, "My Father's Eyes," begins with a fade-in, and there is some background noise during "Have You Ever Loved A Woman"; however, the overall quality of the performance is superb—consistent and thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish. Since Eric did not tour Japan in 1998, this is a must-have item for his fans.
