This release captures a live performance from Eric Clapton's 1974 *461 Ocean Boulevard* US tour, recorded on July 4th at Music Park in Columbus, Ohio. With his first-ever Japan tour approaching in October, you can enjoy a spirited, energetic, and uninhibited performance from the then-29-year-old Clapton. The intensity is striking—perhaps hinting at the lingering effects of past drug use—yet the playing is superb, delivering a performance with a great groove. The audio is a soundboard (SBD) recording. While there is some slight hiss, it is not particularly distracting; although the audio peaks (distorts) for about 50 seconds during "San Francisco Bay Blues," the rest of the recording is problem-free.
