This release captures the performance from January 29, 1977, at the Gunma Kenmin Kaikan in Maebashi, Gunma, Japan—the opening night of Aerosmith's first-ever Japanese tour. Following the global smash success of the 1976 album *Rocks*, the band arrived in Japan with high motivation. While the performance shows traces of slight stiffness—understandable for an opening night—the energy of the packed crowd fueled the band, resulting in a memorable live experience unique to this specific era. The audio is an audience recording; while the perspective sounds somewhat distant, it captures the authentic atmosphere and direct feel of the event with stable, high-quality sound.
