These rare titles are being re-released at an accessible price point, complete with new reissue branding and updated back-cover artwork.

This is a soundboard live recording of James "Blood" Ulmer, capturing the period spanning his most popular albums, *Are You Glad to Be in America?* and *Free Lancing*. The setlist combines tracks from *Free Lancing* with "Jazz Is the Teacher" and "Are You Glad to Be in America?" serving as the opening and closing bookends. The performance offers a perfect balance between his vocal-driven tracks—which showcase his evolving new musical direction—and instrumental pieces that highlight his signature "harmolodic" guitar style. Providing a powerful, driving force in perfect sync with his guitar are the same rhythm section members featured on his studio albums: Amin Ali and Calvin Weston. As a protégé of Ornette Coleman, Ulmer’s work is highly recommended for fans of Ornette’s music.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1009/0846/6475/files/1_86352a58-1e0e-4474-b9a5-e0bbe1d2a80c.webp?v=1793399925
