After traversing Europe and North America, it continued into a tour covering approximately 80 cities across the United States. Following their performance at the Greensboro Coliseum on June 10, 1979, The Jacksons took a four-month hiatus from touring. This break allowed Michael Jackson to complete work on his solo album, *Off the Wall*, which was released just two months later.

As *Off the Wall* became a hit, The Jacksons began performing in larger arenas and halls, completely revamping their show. They expanded the setlist, notably incorporating tracks from Michael's new album.

On November 15, 1979, Michael contracted a kidney infection. This forced the cancellation of shows scheduled between November 15 and 21, spanning from Fort Worth to Greenville. Due to uncertainty regarding Michael's recovery, some December dates were also cancelled; while initially rescheduled for 1980, they were ultimately scrapped entirely. The tour concluded in Honolulu on January 13, 1980.

As for the Blu-ray content, it begins with the London performance from February 23, 1979. It is no exaggeration to call this the highlight of the Destiny Tour; you can enjoy a spectacular HD Blu-ray experience with perfect picture and sound quality. The opening number is "Dancing Machine," featuring the young Michael's truly divine, razor-sharp dance moves. In addition to tour-exclusive tracks like "Keep On Dancing," "Enjoy Yourself," and "Destiny," the elegance of the classic mid-tempo dance track "Show You The Way To Go" is sure to captivate everyone. The set includes the youthful disco vibes of "All Night Dancin'" and culminates in a grand finale with the dance classic "Blame It On The Boogie." This is a miraculous live recording capturing a unique moment in time—the sensational arrival of The Jacksons and Michael Jackson onto the Black Contemporary music scene.

The subsequent section features rare tour footage and interviews presented in chronological order, though the video quality is lower than that of the main concert. The May 20th Memphis show features an interesting camera angle, but the audio is blurry and prone to distortion; the footage is primarily of archival value.

The June 9th Landover clip is a TV commercial announcing the concert.

The October 19th footage includes a brief interview with Michael and various fragments; there are sections where the video or audio cuts out. It is, again, footage of primarily archival value.

November 8th, Uniondale: A mini-documentary featuring live performances and an interview with Michael. The picture quality is relatively good, and while the songs are somewhat abbreviated, the setlist includes tracks from the 1979 album *Off the Wall*—such as "Rock With You" and "Don't Stop 'til You Get Enough"—performed during the Destiny Tour.

A mini-documentary edited differently from the one above; it appears to include footage from the 9th as well.

December 16th, Oakland show: Captures almost the entire performance. The live arrangement of "Off the Wall" is upbeat and differs slightly from later versions. Despite some minor audio dropouts, the footage is highly enjoyable, focusing largely on Michael. The "Rock With You" segment is free of audio dropouts, allowing for full appreciation of the arrangement used at the time.

December 19th, Inglewood show: The image is somewhat grainy and unstable, and the audio suffers from bass distortion and distant, overpowering crowd noise; nevertheless, this is extremely valuable footage from the final leg of the Destiny Tour.

Finally, the tour's last day: the January 13, 1980, Honolulu show. Although the image is somewhat grainy and unstable, the audio—while loud with crowd noise—is decent enough to enjoy. Randy displays wonderful musicality on percussion. The performance of "I Am Love," though brief, is a rarity. While there are several incomplete segments, the entrance for "Don't Stop 'til You Get Enough" is fantastic.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1009/0846/6475/files/1_c987d305-27b3-4cf6-88b9-7bdba151ec92.jpg?v=1786981348
