While Gallagher performed multiple shows in Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya across his four Japanese tours, this Hiroshima recording is a rare item, representing the only concert held in a regional city outside those major hubs. By October 1977, Gallagher had released the acclaimed album *Calling Card* (produced by Deep Purple's Roger Glover in 1976); Glover's production helped evolve Gallagher's signature blues sound, infusing it with a distinct rock edge. The performance is high-energy and superb. The setlist offers a fantastic live experience, blending tracks from the new album—such as \"Calling Card\"—with major hits like \"Tattoo'd Lady,\" alongside high-tempo numbers and the impassioned blues performances for which Gallagher is renowned. This is the only Hiroshima show among Rory Gallagher's four tours of Japan, making it a rare release.
