This tour took place shortly after the band changed its name from the \"Ian Gillan Band\" to simply \"Gillan\" in an effort to refresh their image with a heavier sound; it marked their return to Japan following their 1977 tour. Listeners can enjoy the unique \"Gillan\" sound, which stands distinct from Deep Purple. The performance exudes a relaxed atmosphere; the band members are tight and stable, and Ian himself sounds like he is truly enjoying the show. Bonus tracks include seven songs from a 1979 concert in Vienna featuring Bernie Tormé. The audio is an audience recording; while it reflects the era of its origin, the sound quality is consistently high and enjoyable.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"PHOENIX","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":67737711870251,"sku":null,"price":54.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/1009\/0846\/6475\/files\/1_6636d276-f3bb-4871-add2-9b45c96e5c50.jpg?v=1791850847","url":"https:\/\/wmlshopjapan.com\/es\/products\/gillan-japan-tour-1978-koseinenkin-kaikan-2cdr","provider":"WML Shop","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
